KINGSWOOD

Hailing from Melbourne, our headliner act Kingswood has plenty of accolades that make them the perfect addition to Bundaberg Rum Country Music Raceday performances.

Their debut album, Microscopic Wars, set them up for success with 35,000 sales and landed at #6 on the ARIA charts. In fact, their first 3 albums were all in the Top 15 ARIA Debuts.

They have performed with the likes of Aerosmith and AC/DC on tour and had 3 main stage appearances at Splendour in the Grass.

Other major performances include the Boxing Day Test (MCG), State of Origin Half-Time (Stadium Australia), NRL Finals (AAMI), Big Day Out, Groovin in the Moo and Falls Festival.

With dozens more achievements, Kingswood is an energetic, skilled, rock-country band who are ready to entertain everyone at Bundaberg Rum Country Music Raceday!

SARA BERKI

Born in Bundaberg, Queensland, and raised in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Sara Berki is a standout artist in Australian country music. Her modern storytelling and versatile voice have garnered significant attention since her debut.

In just two years, Sara has released nine self-written tracks that have accumulated over 2.5 million streams. She won the 2024 APRA Professional Development Award for Country/Americana and was nominated for New Talent of the Year at the Golden Guitar Awards. Her singles have achieved two Top 3 and three Top 20 spots on the Countrytown airplay chart, a #1 video on the CMT chart, and three songs in the KIX Country Top 50 most played of 2023.

Sara has also made waves live, performing at CMC Rocks in 2023 and 2024, being the only Australian female at the Ridin’ Hearts Festival, and selling out her EP launch show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

KIARA RODRIGUES

Kiara Rodrigues brings diversity to the Australian Country Music scene. Kiara fell in love with country music when she moved to North Queensland at nine years old, and has since emerged as one of the industry’s rising stars.

In 2023, Kiara was named a Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist where her impressive performance wowed a crowd of 10 000 at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Last year she released her latest EP “Love & Lockdown” produced by Nash Chambers, with three hit singles making waves across Australian country radio stations.

She has been recognised by the Tamworth Songwriters Association as a 5 X Semi-Finalist and her song “Mr Vanity”, earned her Comedy/Novelty song of the year. With appearances on Channel Ten’s ‘Young Talent Time’ and ‘The X Factor’, Kiara is right at home on the big stage.

A general admission ticket will give you access the Public areas, including the lawn and fenceline plus the Public Bars and Eateries on the day.

Arrival & Entry

When you arrive at Country Music Raceday, head to the main gate with your ID and have your ticket ready to be shown to our gate staff.

Bag checks and wristbanding will also take place here. To get you and your crew in quickly, have your electronic ticket ready in your wallet or have a high-quality screenshot.

Doomben Racecourse will be conducting ID checks for 18+ wristbands. Country Music Raceday is an all-ages event with a supervising parent or guardian who is old enough to be their parent, accompanying those minors at all times

Acceptable forms of ID:

A photo identification card (Proof of Age card or Australian Post Keypass identity card)
Australian driver licence or learn permit
Foreign driver licence
Passport.

Getting Here

Doomben Racecourse is located in Ascot, approximately 11km from the Brisbane CBD.

Taxi and ride share is available from Gate 4. Please note, Hampden Street will be closed off on the day and drop-off and pick-up locations will be via Onslow Street.

What to Bring

To prepare for your music experience, we've got you covered with a Country Music Raceday checklist:

Banned Items

All bags will be checked on arrival and security will roam the racecourse on the day, checking for the below banned items. Banned items found in your possession will be confiscated and possible eviction of the raceday:

Alcohol
Outside food or drinks (of any kind)
Glass
Umbrellas
Fireworks and flares
Skateboards, roller skates and rollerblades
Eskys
Camping chairs and tables
Illegal drugs
Weapons
Balloons
Bottled water (including sealed).

Please note, if alcohol or illicit drugs are caught trying to be taken into Country Music Raceday, your ticket will be forfeited and you will be escorted from the site with no re-entry.

Entry will also be refused if intoxicated/under the influence on arrival or if behaving in an inappropriate or aggressive manner.

Food & Drink

Our bars will be stocked with popular alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, with something to suit everybody.

Various delicious food options are also available, with options to upgrade to an all-inclusive hospitality packages.

What to Wear

We encourage all patrons to dress in their best country music attire, including our Members who will have a more relaxed dress code for Country Music Raceday. Members are permitted to wear denim and flannel or other "country style" clothing to get into the spirit. Please note, joggers, thongs and shorts will not be permitted in the Members Reserve Area.

In all areas of our racecourse, a few dress code restrictions must be adhered to:

Shoes are to be worn at all times around the venue
Strictly no shirts with offensive or discriminatory messaging, language or graphics will be allowed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Acceptable Forms of ID for 18+ Events: Current Australian driver licence or learner permit, passport (from any country), adult proof of age card, a recognised proof of age card (eg. Keypass identity card) or foreign driver license must be presented for admittance into Country Music Raceday. These can be hard copy ID or official digital ID. The ID must be current and have a photograph of the person and their date of birth. Expired IDs will not be accepted and patrons will be refused entry.

No alcohol or illicit drugs can be taken into Country Music Raceday. If you are caught attempting to enter with alcohol or illicit drugs, your ticket will be forfeited and you will be escorted from the site with no re-entry with the matter referred to the police.

Entry will be refused if intoxicated /Under the influence on arrival or behaving inappropriately or aggressively.

Prohibited items: Illicit drugs, alcohol, items that can be used as a weapon, signs & banners, balloons, bottled water (including sealed bottles). Read the Conditions of Entry here.

Smoking or Vaping is strictly prohibited unless done so in the designated outdoor smoking areas – the Brisbane Racing Club operate under a one-warning rule.
