Your chance to win $10,000 cash on Ladbrokes Doomben 10,000 Day 

With the ultimate ladbrokes $10,000 torpedo competition 

All raceday patrons (18 years +) who attend Ladbrokes Doomben 10,000 Day may enter the competition.

This competition will be split into two components;

• Game One - The Football Toss and
• Game Two - Football Torpedo

Game 1 - The football toss

The Football Toss game will start at 10am and conclude at 1pm, on 18th May 2024 in the Warm Up Bar (just inside the main gate, Gate 4).

Entrants will have two chances to "score a goal" by throwing a football, in rugby style, through the hole in the competition wall. Entrants must be 3 metres away at the marked area and only throw with their hands (one or two-handed).

Players who successfully "score a goal" will be required to supply their name, email address, and phone number to be eligible to go into the random draw to select the two finalists to progress to Game Two - Football Torpedo.

The first 50 entrants who successfully "score a goal" will each win 2x Trackside & Precinct Admission tickets to The Star Stradbroke Day, 15 June 2024 at Eagle Farm. These entrants will be contacted via email to receive their tickets.

Please note, entry forms can only be completed once and entrants can only compete in Game One, The Football Toss once.

Game 2 - The Football Torpedo 

All entrants who were successful with the Football Toss during the competition period (10am-1pm) and who provided their personal details via a form will be entered into the Random Draw.

Two entrants will be selected by a random number generator from the total pool of entrants and be contacted via phone*.

Once selected, the two entrants will compete in a "Best-of-Three" style match on the Doomben racetrack. Each entrant must attempt to catch a rugby ball shot into the air via a Football Torpedo Cannon. The ball shot from the cannon must reach the marked area on the track to be deemed a valid ball.

The Football Torpedo will take place between Race 4 and Race 5 on the day. The two finalists will be required to meet with a BRC and Ladbrokes representatives before proceeding to the track.

The finalist who catches the football from the torpedo the most out of three valid attempts will be deemed the winner and receive the $10,000 cash prize. In the event both finalists catch the same amount of balls resulting in a tie, then the cash prize will be divided equally between the two finalists. The prize money will be paid to the winner/s bank account/s.

*Please note, should a finalist be uncontactable or not on course upon a BRC representative phoning and texting on the day, a redraw will take place to select an alternate finalist. Finalists are not permitted to transfer their position in the competition for another patron. Finalists will be required to produce photo ID before participating in the Football Torpedo.
